The Holiday Spirit…

There’re only another three weeks to go before the next awfully big adventure. And of course there’s all the fun of the preparation. You probably think that I spend all my waking hours searching out new and ever more expensive (read ‘less affordable’) things to spend money on. But tonight, you’ll be surprized to hear, I trawled every clothes shop in Forestside without spending a single brass farthing!!! And yet two pairs of (white, dressy) trousers were purchased.

And there you are – it turns out that all the experience I have of being the ultimate shopper for myself can be put to perfectly good use in my new-found role of personal shopper for my mother. And in offering up my talents, I can safeguard her holiday wardrobe against total style fiasco. Hopefully. (Although other people may, of course, say that my choice will only hasten towards that end!)

Still. She’s happy and I have done my good deed for the day. So – holiday in sight and the additional feelgood factor of having of having offered time where it was unexpected. Good things can, indeed be free!

About xtrekki

OK - I've been doing this for almost a year now and have still not mastered the mysteries of blogging!! WHAT are widgets? What are tags? Where on the dashboard do I find them or an explanation of how I can get them to work for me? In other aspects of my life I am fairly sharp. I could certainly be advisor to Hercule Poirot in unraveling his most impenetrable of cases. So - why oh why can I not figure out how to manage this bloomin' blog???????

And you still have three weeks to do your holiday wardrobe shopping plus in doing your good deed, you know exactly what’s in forestside. Win, win situation.

Looking forward to hearing from you...often!
